Wrightington Mossy Lea Primary School
We warmly welcome you to our website and thank you for your interest in our school.
Wrightington Mossy Lea Primary School is a delightful community primary school in Wrightington, Lancashire, for children aged 4-11 years.
We are a happy, caring and nurturing school, with high expectations of all. Children feel safe and secure here. They are enthusiastic, enjoy learning and are at the centre of all we do. The school is set in beautiful grounds which we utilise well for the benefit of all.
We work in partnership with parents to ensure all children are happy and achieve well. We work hard to provide a creative curriculum which allows for the demonstration and celebration of individual skills and talents.
The original school building was built in 1910 with recent extension work completed in 2011. The school fulfils a vital role in the life of the local community and beyond. We have strong links, in particular with Tunley United Reformed Church which is situated close by.
We are very proud of all the school has achieved and all it plans to achieve in the future.
Wrightington is easily accessible from other areas of the county. It is very close to Junction 27 of the M6. Some of the children attending the school are from the immediate locality, however many travel from further afield.
We warmly invite you to visit our school to see for yourself all that Wrightington Mossy Lea Primary School has to offer your child.
