Highlights from a Wonderful Week at Mighty Mossy!

Our classrooms have been buzzing with creativity, curiosity and Christmas cheer! Here’s a look at what Acorn and Oak Class have been up to:

Acorn Class

English – Children have been busy planning persuasive posters to encourage others to join our lovely Mossy Lea community.

Science – We explored healthy, balanced eating by designing and making meals.

Art – Using sketching pencils, the children created fantastic matchstick people inspired by the style of L.S. Lowry.

Geography – A senses walk helped us investigate our school environment.

Oak Class

English – We looked closely at the features of newspaper reports and even interviewed eyewitnesses linked to the mysterious events in the book Tuesday.

DT – Children carried on creating their beautiful cross-stitch Christmas cards.

Science – Lots of excitement as we explored how switches work within electrical circuits.

Geography – Using OS maps, Oak Class planned routes using grid references and compass directions.

Christmas at Mossy!

The festive season has officially arrived. The children have loved decorating our Christmas trees and starting each morning by sharing the advent calendar.
