🌟 Another Amazing Week at Mighty Mossy! 🌟

πŸƒ Acorn Class
In English, we’ve been using WellComm to explore irregular verbs βœοΈπŸ“š, learning that we say “ran” instead of “runned” and “ate” instead of “eated”. The children did a fantastic job spotting and using the correct words! πŸ‘

In Science, following on from last week’s lesson about where chocolate comes from 🍫🌱, we explored other plants found in rainforests around the world 🌴🌍 and discovered why some of them can’t grow in Wrightington because of our climate. 🌦️

In Geography, we became rainforest animal experts! πŸ’πŸ¦œπŸ We researched where different animals live in the rainforest, what they eat, how big they are, and even learned their Latin names! πŸ”πŸ“–

In Art, we experimented with geometric shapes βœ‚οΈπŸ”ΊπŸŸ  to draw, cut, and create exciting compositions inspired by our artist focus, 🎨 Beatriz Milhazes.

🌳 Oak Class
In English, we continued the collecting phase of our Macbeth unit πŸ‘‘βš”οΈ, innovating characters such as Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, and the witches πŸ§™‍β™€οΈβœ¨. We also worked collaboratively using the Descriptosaurus πŸ¦– to create adventurous vocabulary and powerful phrases to describe Dunsinane Castle and the Banquet Hall. 🏰🍽️

In History, we learned all about πŸ‘‘ Henry VIII and his six wives, discovering why having a male heir was considered so important during Tudor times. πŸ“œ

In Computing, we started creating Anansi characters πŸ•·οΈπŸŽ¬ and designing backgrounds ready for our exciting stop-motion animation project next week!

🌲 Forest Friday
This week’s outdoor adventure involved building mini dens πŸͺ΅πŸ‚ using natural materials from the Mossy wooded area. Teamwork and creativity were in full flow! πŸ’š
