The children in Oak Class were welcomed with a very exciting hook lesson today. They were given brushes and clothes to begin - in preparation for Chinese New Year. Chinese people spring clean their houses and gardens to sweep away any bad luck. The children then decorated the classroom with red lanterns and scrolls, ready for the banquet. We then enjoyed a Chinese banquet, with dumplings and other traditional Chinese foods.

This is the start of our next English unit - could I become a magazine journalist? Where the children will be writing a magazine article, with 3 different text types, about China and the Shang Dynasty.
