🌟 Mighty Mossy Weekly Highlights 🌟

Acorn Class:
📚 English – We’ve begun writing our own stories to encourage people not to litter and to show the effects littering has on our world.
🔬 Science – We explored how we use energy around the school and came up with ideas for how we can reduce it.
🍎 DT – We learned about vegetarianism and veganism, what these terms mean, and sorted foods into the correct categories.
💻 Computing – We started understanding the terms sort and criteria and used these to sort 2D shapes.

Oak Class:
📖 English – We have been innovating our own settings and characters for The Tin Forest by Helen Ward. It was great fun bringing our character descriptions to life using AI!
🛠️ DT – We started using the Makey Makey kits and are excited to discover how we can use a banana as a keyboard!
🪞 Science – We learnt how mirrors work and had a go at writing secret messages backwards to be read in reflections.

🏃‍♀️🏃 Whole School PE – We continued with athletics and sports day practice and had fun playing parachute games together.

Following the plea in our newsletter – if you have any used board games in good condition that you no longer need, we would love to give them a new home!
