What a fantastic end to the week in Acorns!

We've been busy putting the finishing touches to our nativity play, and the excitement is building.

In Literacy, the unexpected arrival of two packages under our class tree brought pure joy. One contained Mr. Potato Head believe it or not! It's the perfect continuation into our exploration of toy history and a golden opportunity to craft a non-chronological report. The anticipation is real for the next package!

Meanwhile, our Year Two stars showcased their brilliance by completing Autumn assessments in Reading, Maths, and Spelling. They've truly shone bright!

Over in Reception, the little ones immersed themselves in the enchanting tale of "12 Little Lights “, applying their newfound maths skills to this delightful story.

On the tech front, we've wrapped upour IT unit, where the Acorns dove into the world of designing and manipulating images. .

Our budding poets have crafted moving versions of "Dulce et Decorum Est" by Wilfred Owen, showcasing their adventurous vocabulary. The class then brought these poems to life through heartfelt performances.

In DT, the creativity continued with students sculpting their own warhorses inspired by Michael Morpurgo's book. Using clay and wire, they've created truly impressive pieces.

Adding a touch of festive flair, the French lessons had the class singing Jingle Bells en français—très impressionnant!

And the excitement is building as the children work hard rehearsing the Christmas play, "The Landlord’s Cat." They can't wait to share their talents with you all next week! Stay tuned for a magical performance.
