What is in the box?

Acorn class were greeted with gifts this morning, but they were very puzzling … two rectangular pieces of cardboard with “what is in the box ?” written on.
After further investigation we discovered it was possible to make the 2-dimensional shapes into a cuboid and form a 3-dimensional shape.
