Week ending 17th November

* Acorn Class News *

What an exciting week it's been in Acorn class! We've become Play-Doh masters and budding textile designers, creating our own aprons for a fairytale adventure—Hoptoad and Pearls!

In Design & Technology, our curious minds delved further into our investigation and now we've crafted detailed project specifications. Our handwriting journey is flourishing with diverse practices—such progress!

Meanwhile, our Year 2 mathematicians are conquering the intricacies of two-digit addition and subtraction, perfecting their exchanging skills.

Exciting musical news! Our talented little musicians have been joyfully exploring the enchanting world of music.🎼They've been using the glockenspiel, recognising notes, and even singing along with the notes! Check next week's lesson out on Seesaw

It was lovely to see so many of you at Parents' Evening. Your support means the world to us!

We kicked off the week with a heartwarming whole school assembly on World Kindness Day, exploring ways to spread kindness and connecting it with Anti-Bullying Week. Let's replace bullying with kindness!

In English, our young wordsmiths immersed themselves in the world of Mr. Tom, painting vivid pictures of his home with descriptive language. They were fascinated by the 1930's style. Meanwhile, the captivating book 'The War Horse' had our readers honing their inference skills, learning to read between the lines.

In Computing, our budding spreadsheet maestros planned the ultimate party, crunching numbers with formulas for costs.

We travelled back in time  during our History lesson and imagined what life was like in the trenches during WWI, using our desks as recreate a trench.

A round of applause for everyone who joined the Children in Need Joe Wicks challenge, completing 1000 'Bearpees' with enthusiasm! Thanks for making it a success.

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you for your support during parents' evening. It was wonderful seeing so many of you, celebrating the amazing work of your children.
